Chef Sheila was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and later in Philadelphia. She attended the University of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of the Restaurant School and the Culinary Institute of America. For over 35 years she has been a successful professional chef, working in some of the finest kitchens on the East Coast, including Zagat’s– and Michelin Star-rated kitchens. She was noted by the Orlando Sentinel as one of America’s up-and-coming chefs and was the first female Sous-Chef at the world famous Peabody Hotel in Orlando, Florida. She has worked in Wolfgang Puck’s kitchen as well. A ba’alat teshuva, she has taken great delight in converting some of her best recipes to kosher. Chef is ServeSafe Certified and is the in-house Chef for B’nai Israel Synagogue, Pensacola. Now in her new home in Pensacola, Chef Sheila is also available to cater your small to medium-sized functions.
